Nu-Eco managed the full scope across 20 openings in a single stage, covering every room in the home including office, living areas, dining room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, toilet, laundry and the front entry. Casement windows with restrictor stays and shootbolt locking were specified throughout, with 18mm white Georgian bars added to selected windows to complement the home’s updated Hamptons-inspired exterior. The office received a tall four-pane casement configuration, while the living room and TV room were each fitted with outward-opening French doors flanked by matching casement sidelights. Gold lever handles were specified across all doors for a warm, traditional finish.
The front entry was designed as a feature: an inward-opening composite door in Turnberry Anthracite with Reflections glass panel and a gold lever handle, creating a strong first impression against the white weatherboard. Privacy glass was specified for the toilet and bathroom windows.
Every frame was finished in solid white uPVC with an Ovolo profile and KDHW timber reveals throughout. All glazing was specified as 28mm argon-filled, Low-E insulating glass, delivering the thermal performance Trivess needed to eventually disconnect the home from gas heating entirely. Two glass panels required replacement after installation due to minor scratches, one identified by Nu-Eco, one by the customer, and both were replaced immediately without question.
Five years on, Trivess reports the windows still look and operate exactly as they did on installation day. The home is warmer in winter, cooler in summer, quieter, and better ventilated in every room, including spaces that previously had no operable windows at all.
