Fully Chamfered Double Glazed Windows for Modern Melbourne Homes

If you’re replacing old timber or aluminium windows and your home has a contemporary feel, uPVC fully chamfered windows Melbourne homeowners are choosing deliver the clean, sharp-edged look that suits modern architecture without the maintenance timber demands.

The fully chamfered profile is Nu-Eco’s modern window frame style. It features flat, angular edges that recreate the traditional putty lines of timber joinery in uPVC, giving you a sleek, minimal frame that complements flat facades, square-set interiors, and modern renovations. Every line is deliberate and clean. There are no curves, no decorative moulding, and no visual clutter.

For homes with heritage character, period detailing, or a more traditional aesthetic, the sculptured ovolo profile is the better choice. It has rounded, decorative edges that match the look of Victorian and Edwardian timber frames. Both profiles are available across all of Nu-Eco’s window types: awning windows, casement, tilt & turn, and double hung. The performance is identical. The only difference is how they look.

Every fully chamfered window is made to order as part of Nu-Eco’s double glazing in Melbourne range. Book a free measure and quote, or visit our Dandenong South showroom to see both profile styles side by side.

Why Choose Fully Chamfered Windows for Your Home?

Old timber windows with putty-line profiles eventually crack, peel, and need regular repainting to hold their shape. Aluminium frames lack the depth and detail that makes a window frame feel considered. The fully chamfered uPVC profile gives you the clean, angular lines of well-maintained timber joinery with none of the upkeep. It suits new builds, extensions, and renovations where the design language is contemporary and minimal.

Nu-Eco’s chamfered windows are available in a wide range of colours and woodgrain finishes, and they deliver the same energy-efficient performance as every window in the range. Because the chamfered profile is a style choice rather than a window type, you can use it on any combination of awning, casement, tilt & turn, and double hung windows throughout your home.

We had a fantastic experience with Nu Eco Windows. Adam was friendly, professional and helpful when he visited to measure and provide a quote. The installers also did an excellent job fitting our new attic window, completing the work with care and attention to detail. The finished window looks fantastic and has made a wonderful addition to our home. We could not be happier with the result and would gladly recommend Nu Eco Windows to anyone looking for quality workmanship and great service.

We got all our windows replaced with double glazed windows from nu-eco. We're happy with the quality of the windows and options they had available. One thing that is the most outstanding is their customer care. They were super friendly and explained everything well. Anytime something was a tiny bit strange, we called and someone came the next day to fix it or have a look.
All their employees are extremely friendly, considerate and helpful.

Had Adam come up for a measure and quote. From the first phone call he was incredibly friendly and helpful. Answered all my numerous questions without hassle.

He arrived on time for our appointment, did a comprehensive measure and spoke about the window design. He also had samples with him to showcase their product. No hard sell and had my quote later that day.

I can't fault the customer service provided by Adam. Great assest to the company.

Everyone involved in this order was a pleasure to deal with.
A salesman that didn't give me the hard sell and was happy to give me multiple options to mull over with no pressure.
Office staff who addressed all my questions promptly.
The installation crew who were very polite, always checked with me before making anything final, left the place clean and tidy.
This is my second time using Nu-Eco and while I have no plans to ever move house again if it should ever happen they will be my first choice for new doors & windows.

We have had our bedroom windows installed by Nu Eco windows in 2023 we only had 2 done to see how they went. We waited 6 months for install which was explained to us from the get go as they are made overseas. With my wife been European this was great as we were getting a product the same as in Europe. On the day of install it took a good 5 hours. Once it was done the installer told us they would be ordering a new window as the one they installed had a very tine 1cm scratch at the bottom which you would never see unless looking for it. This made us proud we went with NuEco windows. They swapped our window out a month later. We continued to use them for the 2nd bedroom and kitchen windows all up 4 windows 2024 The team were amazing. They spoke to us through problems they came across as the house is 20 years old and rectified it without fuss or extra charge. Needless to say its now 2026 and we are about to call them to come quote our last 2 windows. The team really know what they are doing we had a number of reps from other businesses come out and try the hard sale and push and didn't really know their product well NuEco was the complete opposite. Adam and Andy and great to deal with.

Fully Chamfered Windows - Common Questions

Not sure which profile suits your home? Here's what Melbourne homeowners ask about the fully chamfered range.

The difference is purely aesthetic. Chamfered profiles have flat, angular edges that suit contemporary and modern homes. Sculptured ovolo profiles have rounded, decorative edges that match the look of traditional timber frames on period homes. Both use the same uPVC construction, the same double glazed units, and the same locking hardware. Performance is identical.

Yes. The fully chamfered profile is available on awning, casement, tilt & turn, and double hung windows. You can use it across every window in your home, or mix it with the sculptured ovolo if different rooms call for a different look.

They are. The chamfered profile uses the same multi-chambered uPVC construction and 28mm argon gas-filled IGUs as the rest of the range, achieving a certified U-value of 1.5 W/m²K with standard glass. The sealed double glazed units significantly reduce heat transfer in both summer and winter.

Pricing depends on the window type, size, quantity, glass specification, and optional extras. As a guide, a standard double glazed uPVC window starts from approximately $1,600 to $1,800 installed. The chamfered profile does not carry a premium over the sculptured ovolo. Nu-Eco provides a free on-site measure and quote.

All Nu-Eco windows, including the chamfered profile, are independently tested to Australian Standard AS2047 by a NATA-accredited facility. They are AWA and WERS certified, with water penetration testing recording zero ingress at 600pa, four times the standard requirement.

Yes. The full range of colours and woodgrain finishes is available, including white, cream, anthracite grey, golden oak, rosewood, Irish oak, and more. Woodgrain finishes are applied to the exterior face while maintaining a clean white interior, or you can specify colour on both sides.
